ROADTRIP COMPLETE
ROADTRIP COMPLETE
I thought my head was about to explode by the time the neverending trip finally drew to a close. The green grass and southern accents had slowly melted away as mountains of desert sand and catchy beach lingo had taken over. My energy had been steadily declining as I sat and sat and sat, my dad driving the entire way (don't ask me how he managed to stay awake and aware the whole time), until spiking to a ridiculous, child-like excitement as LA came into view. Suddenly we were surrounded by Lamborghinis and Maseratis' instead of annoying 18-wheelers and forever-slow RVs. The roads gave up on two lanes and turned into six lanes. The lights around us were flashy and every other building we passed seemed connected to the film industry. MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES everywhere and a dangerously happy me taking in the wonderful, magical land.
